12月2日 GM - Frankenstein FoodsWell, today we were having GM foods rammed down out throats on the news. No doubt somewhere some rich company has influence over the BBC editorial line, because they were treating the news that the UK government has approved the testing of two fields of GM pototoes as some sort of victory for I don't know who.
In fact these foods should really be called Genetically Distorted foods, because they are not the product of tried and tested evolution, but the product of the brutal manipulation of DNA by scientists who don't really know what is going to happen next (hence the need to test the foods). The other reason to grow them in the UK is to try and habituate people to the existence of these frankenstein foods - so that we just go along with this genetic control over out food supplies.
